Sitting on a yoga ball at work is…possibly the best idea ever.  After a short adjustment period, my neck/back pain virtually disappeared.  The HR guy at work even took a cue from me and brought in a fancy ball chair (a ball on a base with wheels).  It’s comfortable, I can use it for arm/shoulder stretches, but the craziest benefit is to my spine.  There is some compression that comes along with sitting on it for 40 hours a week, but when I lie back on it and allow myself to arch backwards with my hands on the floor behind me…I can feel my lower spine pop (back into place?).  It’s kind of alarming, but I always feel good afterward.
